Welcome to Library Lynx! This is the search box that you will use to search for books, eBooks, articles, DVDs, music and more!
To begin, we will do a search in Library Lynx for world war II. Type in the search box at the top of the page: world war ii and then click "Search."
After you have complete the search, click the "Next" arrow at the bottom of this window.
Let's take a look at these results.
We have books, eBooks, articles and streaming movies -- just on this main page! As you scroll down the page, look at the different icons right below the title of the item. Do you see the different icons?
When you are ready to move on, click the "Next" arrow at the bottom of this window.
Find a print book on this page. When you see one, click on "Availability" just below the book information. This will tell you if we have book ready for you to check out (or if someone else has it) and where the book is located in the library. The location of the book in the library is the call number and on the far right of the "Availability" section.
If you would like to put this book on "hold" so that it is available at the circulation desk when you come in or if someone else has it checked out, click on the title of the book. On the book's record page, you can click on "Place Hold at ACC Library."
**Don't do this now because it will take you away from the tutorial.**
The first time you do this, you will set up to your library account by clicking on set/reset password.
We will notify you by email when you book is available for check out.
